My admission:
I used to be such a hardcore Demshevik that I attended rallies or protests or whatever they were in Berkeley in 1969 as a teenager (did not live with family by then) and wanted “the Revolution” and even a protest or whatever it was on Hi Chi Minh’s birthday and chanted “Ho Ho Ho Chi Minh”.
I was as hardcore as one can get.
Obviously I did a complete 180 since then, basically by my late 20s-mid 30s when I had a breather to think about things.

Contrary Mary, here. Became a Republican at the age of 8 because I fell in love with Eisenhower, even though everyone else in the house was voting for Stevenson. But there were some great protest songs, lj. And you did have the best folk music.
