I wonder if “evil” is just inchoate selfishness and “hatred of good” is just objection to anything that restricts one’s choices.

Warm wishes on a chilly day.

Thanks and Likewise this chilly day.

I think you make a good point. At evil's root is arrogance and rebellion against anything restricting one's choices.

However, I think I'd agree more with you if I hadn't seen raw demonic evil up close and personal dozens of times both in the USA & in Asia. I have 0.0% doubt that satanic raw evil is real in tangible & intangible ways--and that individuals can side with those forces, entities--deluded in thinking they will have more personal 'freedoms' in doing so--whereas, actually, the opposite is true.

But they don't find that out until they are well down the road toward actual 'possession.'

There was a book once: "The Beautiful Face of Evil" or some such. The seduction is so powerful because of what you point out--everyone hates to have any limitations on their choices whatsoever.

That sets us all up for seductive strategies & manipulations.

And the liberal idiots have jumped in the deep end of that hook, line & sinker.

Nevertheless, Pogo strip's exhortation is still also apt: "We have met the enemy & he is us." We all best monitor our arrogant urges to have our own way regardless.

But the Marxist globalist DimRats have taken that to a maximum extreme with gritted teeth & rage-a-holic intensities off the charts.
