I was always under the impression Brits were more knowledgeable on history than us Yanks.
Part of that is simply having a history. We only go back 200 years. They had a heckuva lot going on with their little island for 1000 years prior.

History will be the only thing they have left if they keep going down the road they are on. Today’s snowflakes don’t want to hear or learn about something if they don’t like or agree with it.

We only go back 200 years. They had a heckuva lot going on with their little island for 1000 years prior. You should look up a TV series that's been running in the UK called "Time Team". It's a fascinating show about archaeology and history. I watched an episode this morning where they discovered a grave site going back 4000 years with much later graves dating from the Anglo-Saxon period. They consider 1000 years as recent history!
You can see the first season for free on Tubi and later seasons on Acorn (or maybe Britbox).

200 years? Some schools in TX (and I’ve heard elsewhere, too) don’t teach history before the almighty Clintons.
