Hope you all had a nice Caturday!
I was taking it easy today.
Kind of cold today, not good for being out too long.
Saw a cool pale green colored meteorite on Wednesday night. Just happened to be driving west and saw it.
Local weatherguy mentioned that the meteors will be around until Sunday but so will clouds. I was fortunate to see one on a clear night.
Saw a smaller white shooting star about a month ago.
Always special to see such amazing things.
cheers
I once saw the meteor shower in the dark skies over Kauai, lying on the grass on a ocean-cliffside golf course.
It was truly awesome.
I love stuff like that.
How cool that you saw a meteorite! I don’t think I ever have. I have seen shooting stars, but completely random and NEVER when they say that there is a meteor shower. LOL!
Stay warm!
Wow! Very cool!
Many years ago I watched a lot of meteors from the south window at my old house. It was very late at night. There were so many, didn’t have to wait long for another one to pass by.
A few years ago a large meteor passed over my old house but I missed it. It went right over Madison and towards the Mississippi River. ( I have no idea if that is the correct spelling of the river.. lol...). The meteorology department at the UW Madison captured that meteor on video.
I would have been outside to see it, but I put the horses “ to bed” earlier than normal that night. Missed a huge meteor, dang it all. Lots of people saw it. I only saw the video. Very impressive.
I think meteors are soooo cool. The one I saw Wednesday was right after Bible Study on my drive home. I was driving the right direction at the right moment to see it. Yep, a huge blessing.
I knew about the summer meteor shower, the Persied? Something like that.
I didn’t know there was one now. The weatherman mentioned it Thursday.
I tried to see more of them Wednesday night from my yard ,but no luck.
Seeing one was a great surprise.
The other one I also saw while driving, it was white, small and very brief.
The green one was a lot bigger and I got a few seconds to watch it .
Really cool, or probably hot... lol.
I think there are some in November, but I can’t remember the name [too lazy to look it up LOL] but didn’t know anything about any in December. Something I’d LOVE to see is the northern lights. I live too far south to see them.
Me too! I’ve always wanted to travel to see them.
One time, here in WI, we had one night where you could see the northern lights. They were not bright. My sister called me and said go outside and see them. Otherwise I’d have missed it. Must have been some big solar flare that made them somewhat visible in southern WI.
I wonder if they can be seen in WY where my kids live. Well, they live in Jackson Hole, which is surrounded by mountains, so they probably wouldn’t be visable. Glad you got to see them that one time.
I bet they are far enough north to see them when there is a big solar flare.
I had no clue they were even possible in WI.
That’s the only night I’ve ever seen them.
Would love to take a trip to Alaska to see the real show!
“I think meteors are soooo cool.”
me too....unless they are real BIG. Then they can be a “problem”.
Bible in a Year:
Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. John 7:37
Tom and Marks ministry refreshes lives. This is clear in the video they share of a group of fully clad children laughing and dancing in the refreshing water of an open showertheir first ever. The men work with indigenous churches to install water filtration systems on wells in Haiti, easing and lengthening lives as diseases connected to contaminated water are prevented. Access to clean, fresh water gives the people hope for their future.
Jesus referred to living water in John 4 to capture a similar idea of a continual source of refreshment. Tired and thirsty, Jesus had asked a Samaritan woman for a drink (vv. 48). This request led to a conversation in which Jesus offered the woman living water (vv. 915)water that would become a source of life and hope within them, like a spring of water welling up to eternal life (v. 14).
We discover what this living water is later in John, when Jesus said, Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink, declaring that whoever believed in Him would have rivers of living water [flowing] from within them. John explains, By this he meant the Spirit (7:3739).
Through the Spirit, believers are united to Christ and have access to the boundless power, hope, and joy found in God. Like living water, the Spirit lives inside believers, refreshing and renewing us.
How has Jesus satisfied your thirst through His Spirit? How will you share what Jesus has done for you?
Dear God, thank You for leaving us Your Spirit. Work in us so that our lives point others to You.

Thank you.
A very Blessed Sunday to y’all.
Yeah. We don’t need any that leave craters in the earth.

Bible in a Year:
The Lord said to me, Throw it to the potter! Zechariah 11:13
Now an accomplished writer, Caitlin describes the depression she battled after fighting off an assault. The emotional violence cut deeper than her physical struggle, for she felt it proved how undesirable I was. I was not the kind of girl you wanted to get to know. She felt unworthy of love, the kind of person others use and toss aside.
God understands. He lovingly shepherded Israel, but when He asked them what He was worth, they paid me thirty pieces of silver (Zechariah 11:12). This was the price of a slave; what masters must be reimbursed should their slave be accidentally killed (Exodus 21:32). God was insulted to be offered the lowest possible valuelook at the handsome price at which they valued me! He said sarcastically (Zechariah 11:13). And He had Zechariah throw the money away.
Jesus understands. He wasnt merely betrayed by His friend; He was betrayed with contempt. The Jewish leaders despised Christ, so they offered Judas thirty pieces of silverthe lowest price you could put on a personand he took it (Matthew 26:1415; 27:9). Judas thought so little of Jesus he sold Him for nearly nothing.
If people undervalued Jesus, dont be surprised when they undervalue you. Your value isnt what others say. Its not even what you say. Its entirely and only what God says. He thinks you are worth dying for.
How would you describe your value? Who can you help to grasp true value?
Im grateful that Im valued by You, God!
Indeed.
