Dr. Sivana :" For the record, we caught it early, and my body responded well to $20 worth of anti-biotics over three weeks."
About eight years ago, while in New Hampshire, I was bitten by 5 known ticks.
Upon notifying my family doctor, they administered the only then known treatment
of three weeks anti-biotics (21 days).
Since Lyme disease is a virus, anti-biotics are not effective against viral diseases.

Since Lyme disease is a virus, anti-biotics are not effective against viral diseases. Lyme disease is a bacteria; Powassan is the viral infection.

Lyme disease is caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi ( https://www.cdc.gov/lyme/index.html )
Anti-biotics were sure effective against mine (only good if you catch it early), and good for my landlord's wife, who tried ineffective natural remedies at first. The amelioration in my case was within one day, and completely attributable to the Amoxicillin.
