The backlash in the West on Trump's oil policy in Syria is healthy. Nothing, nothing at all justify this piracy.

The SDF and Damascus had a working deal to share these resources, the SDF is even shipping oil to Turkish-occupied areas in northern Aleppo and to Idlib. US taking over the oil, with sanctions on Syria's oil import, is nothing short from a serious crime against Syrian people.

There's not NEARLY enough backlash. most of it is backlash at him being so dumb to loudly say it. Not at the actual policy of theft of resources. They've been doing that throughout their entire existence all over the world

Since discovery of oil in MidEast, many in region said: U.S. only here to steal our oil.

U.S. denied, claimed it's about democracy, human rights, women etc.

Not sure if Americans realize but these pictures of U.S. troops in northeast Syria are HUGELY damaging to U.S. image.

I’d bet anything it’s real
Makes for bad PR in the Mideast, but can’t be helped:
frees up Russia/Syria for other areas, and helps Kurds.
Also, I’ve seen reports that terrorist used oil tankers to be smuggled away in. Pots a stop to that.

Trump taking the oil..... awesome! He’ll make sure we and the Kurds are paid back in full for freeing Syria from ISIS. Syrian’s response should be thank you very much.
I have no doubt we’ll leave after payback.

When we went out of our way to not protect the oil in Iraq, Chinese companies and Lord knows who else took over. Like President Trump said, the terrorists supported themselves on that oil, and will do again.
