SINCE this is OUR country and this country is FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE AND OF THE PEOPLE that doesn’t not include politians so I am making a motion that every lay person run for office...housewives, carpenters, cement layers, truck drivers, beauticians, waitresses, chefs, police officers, dog trainers, vet techs...
We can run this country under the direction of Our President and do a better job that this country has ever seen...as soon as we get America back on her feet, then we again go to the same type of people and vote them in...so we step down...6 years is all you get, you best get it done in 6 years...and after the first 6 years, the next 6 years and after that is to maintain what we did: Put America back together again!!!
And NO POLITIAN to be POTUS...it has to be one of us: WE THE PEOPLE OF THE PEOPLE AND BY THE PEOPLE!!!

Great idea, but crooked politicos have almost a stranglehold on the power structure. Trump pulled off the most amazing campaign in America history that I know of by getting himself elected President in his first political race!
It is my view that neither party has the interest of the citizens at heart.
That’s a good idea, but I fear the politicians will reassert themselves and the temptations inherent in the swamp may be too much for some regular folks who end up there in our current system.
Here’s a better one: House members shall be chosen from among registered voters by lottery for a single two year term to represent the district in which they live.
Each newly selected Representative shall undergo eight weeks of education in civics and the Constitution before taking the Oath.
Congress shall be in session not more than six months out of the year during which time Representatives will be housed in dormitories in the Capitol with meals to be provided at a cafeteria. (Basically like junior enlisted military)
Compensation for members should be fixed at the national average annual income. Since there will be no campaigns there will be no campaign contributions and re-election will not be a consideration.
Non-elected staffers would have to be rotated out after four years or so; say from duties at Congress to the Forest Service or something useful.
This would help break the hold the Ruling Class has on government. It’s a nice fantasy
