The trailers look pretty Good. Thought?

Not, because I hadn’t heard of such a thing.
Could change to “Maybe” if I hear it’s good.

I thought so too. Also, that WWI movie - 1917 - looked good.

I’ll watch “Tora, Tora, Tora” a far superior film.

I don’t go to theaters. But the preview I saw looks good so assuming it comes out on 4K I will almost certainly buy a copy from ebay when it’s available.

Ive been to Midway island for a few hours on my way to Japan. then I went about the Midway CVA-41 when it was in port there. I worked on GSE at Atsugi NAF, for the Midway. So I guess I should watch it.

Trailers look good. If Hollywood doesnt screw it up like they did Pearl Harbor, I certainly will go see it.

There already was a movie about Midway many many years ago and it was solid to pretty good so I cant see todays Hollywood of great special effects but crappy storyline and wooden acting making it any better.

Parts of the trailer looks like a video game

Its by Roland Emmerich, director of The Day After Tomorrow and 2012. Think its going to be terrible.
To: VeniVidiVici
1917 was shot to make it look like it was done in one take. That alone makes me want to go see it.

Looks mostly computer generated imagery and hype. I like the 70s version with Heston.
To: US Navy Vet
How will the new one be different from the ‘77 version?

I havent heard much about it. Is it trying to be true to history or is just trying to dramatize a historical event?
I can’t stand that.
