My son recently experienced a calf strain and had to wear a boot. It slowed him down (he is a dancer in NY and usually moves very quickly), but it immobilized the hurt area so that he could walk without pain and not have to mess with crutches. He wore it (during the day) for about 3 weeks.
So he could walk totally normally etc? Sounds as though depends on injury.
I wonder what injury Meghan McNoName has.
