THanks for the personal experience. I would assume so for sure, that if an injury or recuperating from surgery requires a boot, the person wearing it would also be limping, requiring a crutch or walker, not getting out and about so much and so on.

Exactly. I had bunion surgery 3 weeks ago and I’ve been out of the house twice. Once was to the doctor. Taking a shower and getting dressed wears me out so much, I just want to go back to bed. And my foot hurts worse the next day. When I broke my ankle, I had to keep my boot on 24/7 for 6 weeks. That means sleeping with it, showering with a “cast cover”, total inconvenience.

Very behind on the thread but just wanted to share, my daughter sprained her ankle pretty bad last month and the doc required her to wear that boot. She didn’t use crutches or a cane, it stabilized the ankle to heal. Had it on for weeks!
