I don’t see it quite that starkly. Some are gloomy because something really traumatic happened to them. They know disaster sometimes happens to good people for no reason. Or they’ve had their hearts terribly broken by someone they trusted.

It can be incredibly difficult to come back from Some forms of disaster or heartbreak. Even if one desperately wants to.

I’ve had enough drama, tragedy and mishaps of many kinds to last several lifetimes. I could write a long book.

So if that is the case, they need to put up their grownup underwear and climb of the past.

That may sound heartless, but I have experienced a lot of vicious stuff in my life, including as a teenager, and somehow or other I have managed to go on with my life.
