I now think the light almost falling on Hillary was a set-up, to show what a loving couple Bill and Hillary are. He pulls her away from the fallen lamp and hugs her as if he cared for her.
The clue to me is her exclamation, "Jesus, Mary, and Joseph". The use of a Catholic phrase by a non-religious Methodist must have been scripted to win Catholics over to the Clinton side.
