Why would DC be panicking over things Bill Barr is currently reviewing? Equally important, why is Bill Barr and anyone involved in that search currently in the crosshairs of Democrats? They are supposed to be after the truth — Right? Or is it they are desperate to stop these people from revealing the truth?
Recent press information directly from Shifty Schiff reveals they may have decided that the whistleblower has no need to testify since the rough draft call he wrote his complaint on is public. However, despite the public release of information, Schiff has decided to make all testimony not only behind closed doors but has basically thrown out any Republicans to be with them that he deems a threat to his investigation. Thus providing a kangaroo court where there is no ability for the accused or his attorneys to prepare a defense for now.
The White House is reportedly stonewalling the process as illegitimate and unacceptable as a legal means of determining IF there is grounds to move forward to recommend impeachment and get a vote to then move to the Senate for hearing. Who can blame them when the opposition is playing so dirty. Even if there is real evidence of wrongdoing, the amount of secrecy and the attitudes of those doing the congressional investigation are suspect. Since Schiff suggests that they might release all closed documents to the public, then why not simply stop using closed door meetings and let the public decide.
That isn’t all attorneys are doing though for the president and for the office he holds. There were at the confirmation of Bill Barr signposts of where he intended to go with the investigation not of accusations of presidential wrongdoing but the sources and purposes behind those accusations. He has not stopped nor slowed his pursuit since that time though he has been quietly and methodically moving ahead.
