Didn’t see your post, just posted also...
I'll trade it for the secret of longevity.
Hmmm. Thanks for your thoughtful reply. Guess I’d just best wait for the dust to settle. Not something I want to toil to try & figure out. LOL.
I took a quick look at the unrolled thread and the twitter account it came from.
I have heard a bit over the years about Chris Butler, since I lived in HI for many years and it’s a small place. Nothing at all likes this stuff. I noticed the tqitter person also hates Trump and thinks Trump is a Russian agent and the most evil thing in creation and worships Hilary. So I would take anything he put up with a big grain of salt.
You too, xone, also off to bed!
Always happy to hear from the Mods. Sometimes I have no idea why a lot of other people’s posts are pulled, too. The more we know..

Replying to @realDonaldTrump
This is corruption, plain and simple!
Mitt Romney is such a sick, sad, petty man!
Another thread from the same guy.

Lets talk about succession. Not the best show on TV, which just ended its stellar second season; the presidential succession. Who will succeed Trump? Because, like Logan Roy, he must face the music.
1/ Odds are, Trump will either be 1) replaced by the Democrat on January 20, 2021, or 2) by his VP, Mike Pence, if he resigns or is impeached/removed prior to that. Those remain the two most likely outcomes. But there are complications with #2.
2/ It is a mortal lock that Trump will be impeached. Less certain is whether the GOP-controlled Senate will remove himalthough when it gets that far, the preponderance of evidence against him will be damning enough to give Republicans cover to vote him out.
3/ Its Pence that is the sticking point. If Trump is impeached & removed primarily for extorting Ukraine to invent dirt on Hunter Biden in exchange for the release of US aid I mean, Pence was part of that.
In other words: Whatever Trump did, Pence also did. #PenceKnew.
4/ What to do about Pence? We cant very well impeach & remove Ted Bundy, only to replace him with Richard Speck. But if Trump & Pence are BOTH removed, for the same crime? We get #PresidentPelosi. This is an outcome the GOP would prefer to avoid. So they wait.
5/ It was not supposed to be this way. The Founding Fathers did not envision a VP working hand-in-glove with the president. Originally, the VP was the second-highest vote getter. If we still had the old system, Hillary, not Pence, would be VP.
6/ Perhaps the Founders, in their wisdom, believed that a VP SHOULD be isolated from the White House, so if s/he had to take over, s/he would not carry the baggage of the incumbentfor good or ill. The close working relationship is a relatively recent phenomenon (Gore, Cheney).
7/ When Andrew Johnson & Harry Truman succeeded Lincoln & FDR, respectively, they were isolated from the administration, and in the dark about what their predecessors intentions were. This caused problems, for sure, but nothing like the problems Pences ascension would cause.
8/ If, say, John Kasich was VP right now, and hed had nothing to do with the inner workings of the Trump administration, GOP would be much more enthusiastic about removing the traitor in the Oval. Pences complicity gives them pause.
9/ This week, GOP patriots are coming outas I predicted. First Mitt Romney, now John Kasich. More will emerge in the next few weeks. Keep a watchful eye on Nikki Haley. These people are auditioning for the role of Acting President.
Greg Olear@gregolear
8/ Rank-and-file GOP turns on him.
Russian assets like @DevinNunes, @SpeakerRyan & Dana Rohrabacher will go down with the ship. But at some point, for the Republican party to survive in any form, sitting @GOP members of Congress will have to turn on Trump.
0/ As Ive been saying for years now, once it is apparent that Trump is toast and Pence is clearly complicit, it behooves GOP to convince the latter to resign, and have him replaced by a non-Trumpy Republican. (No, not you, Paul Ryan. Sit down with your dirty rubles).
11/ This means Mitch has to convince Pence to resign AND Trump to name someone he probably hates as the new VP. Then they can impeach and remove 45, and have some shot at winning in 2020.
Tough needle to thread, even for the Turtle.
12/ Remember: If Pence succeeds Trump, he gets impeached, too. Because, again, w/t/r UkraineHE DID THE SAME CRIME TRUMP DID. You dont replace a guy up to his eyeballs in treason wit one only up to his waist.
13/ Trump may not be on the ballot in 2020, and if he is, he will not win. I believe his G7/Doral announcement was a tell. Hes indicated that he does not plan to be president in June. I have been saying for two years, and I say it still, that he will resign, à la Nixon.
14/ The only hope the GOP has of making 2020 competitive is to oust Trump AND Pence ASAP, replacing the latter with Kasich, Romney, or Haley FIRST. Mitch surely knows this. Trump v. anyone is a Mondalesque trouncing in the general. But, say, Haley v. Biden? Thats in play.
15/
Q: Great, so what if Trump nominates Ivanka?
A: The new VP must be approved by both the Senate AND the House. So Trump will not be nominating the daughter-wife, or some other mobbed-up sycophant.
16/
Q: Why would Trump nominate Romney, Kasich, or Haley?
A: Mitch will convince him that he has no other recourse.
17/ The good guys will have Trumps taxes in a matter of days, or, worse-case scenario, a few months. The taxes expose him as a serial mob money launderer and tax cheat. He cannot survive releasing them. They are a Van Helsing heart-stake.
Uncle Blazer@blakesmustache
Thread: Manhattan DA (Cy Vance) may get Trumps tax returns soon.
Vance issued a grand jury subpoena to get Trumps tax returns. Trump lost the court case to block the subpoena, but won a temporary stay of the subpoena while he appeals. That stay could be lifted by Tuesday.

18/ Pelosi & Schiff know this. Mitch knows it, too. The MSM is starting to figure it out. The writing on the wall is glaringonce you figure out how to read the Cyrillic letters. Checkmate is inevitable, and only a few moves away. Hence Trumps pathetic attempts at delay.
Make no mistake: Trump has lost the game. Hes going down. Its only a question of whether the knight will checkmate him, or the Queen.
WE SHALL PREVAIL!!!
