We had a suggestion (and seconds) upthread to refer to it as 8k.
I dont’ believe FR’s objections to 8ch links were related to US government. Early on, a troll claimed 8ch was “known kiddie porn and antisemitism” and shills attacking 8ch certainly tried to make it look like that. On that basis, Jim Rob directed us not to post 8ch links.
Re the gov’s interest in 8ch. The head of 8K site believes they had addressed agitation/accusation concerns re control of what can be posted and by whom (recall a shill posted a manifesto on Instagram and someone other than the shooter posted it to 8ch).
I don’t know if the new 8k site will be able to be attacked the same way as before etc. so I request that peeps not post the full domain name or links to that site until we see what it is and we get some direction from Jim Rob. We did all right w/o 8ch links before; we’ll be okay regardless of the decision.
JR’s decision to forbid 8ch links insulated FR from shill take down efforts and accusations of “manifesto hate site” and I trust his judgement going forward re 8K. No word if Instagram will be taken down as a host for manifesto/hate.
