I use what my husband calls weird words at home too which is rich coming from him as he is as much a hick as I am.
A few, he thinks, weird words I use are
stob- stick of a sort to prop tomato plants
gom-to mess something up (don’t gom up the kitchen, I just cleaned in there)
I have lots of others (handed down from my parental unit) but would positively be laughed off this thread.

Growing up we used weird words a lot and made up words as habit. Once I had kids, sometimes we’d play scrabble allowing made up words as long as one had a definition and could pronounce it.
