Should the POTUS ask the congress to declare war on NATO partner Turkey? That could get real ugly, real quick.
No one here supports Erdogan, but plenty dont mind stepping out of the way between him and the other involved parties.
There should be no declaration of war against Turkey at this point.
This cant even be a possibility at a future point, while both are in NATO.
There is absolutely no American interest in going to war with Turkey, period.
Bingo!
Turkey is a partner in name only.
Bammy seemed to have a very low opinion of the US.
Particularly when you consider the 5000 US airmen located in Turkey at the Incirlik airbase, along with all their aircraft, equipment, etc.
If we start attacking Turkey we're going to need to either evacuate Incirlik, or be ready for it to be encircled and overrun. We don't have nearly enough troops or equipment on the ground to defend it against the Turkish army.
“Violating his oath of office by refusing to fight a war that Congress has refused to declare.”
Gold star for accuracy, brevity, clarity.
Well, if it helps you sleep comfortably, go ahead and ignore the fact that Erdogan would slit your throat personally if he could.
“”I heard Trump cough today, obviously a high crime and misdemeanor””
Not quite but it should be in the running. I heard that he had one black sock on and one blue sock the other day. Now THAT is really disturbing!
Oh, and Saddams kids wouldnt have? Clutch your pearls. Remember, you said Turkey hates us more than any other country throughout all of time. Drama Queen - 👸🏼

That’s frequently the case with the children of foreigners, that’s why the founders excluded them from being President with the natural born citizen clause.
Too bad NO ONE would stand up to defend the Constitution.
It’s still an open question if we survive the usurpation.
>> Oh, and Saddams kids wouldnt have? <<
If it served a political purpose or military tactic, yes. Erdogan is pure, fanatical hatred.
Let me put it this way, because apparently you have some sort of attachment to using the term, “queen”:
Lots of war criminals, being war criminals, didn’t hesitate to commit mass murder to achieve their goals of power and their own personal political security. Some even buy into their own beliefs that we’re the unjust cause of their nation’s political insecurity. Erdogan HAD political security and out-sized global influence, and he’s trading it away because he’s so blinded by hatred; he’s he kind of guy who would fly the airplanes into the WTC himself. He damned near reignited the Crimean War. I’m guessing you’re old enough to have been taught about the Crimean War, the real first world war, aren’t you?
You raise a point that I hadnt thought to include. Thank you for that.
These idiots don’t know who they want to declare war on. They just want to continue war-without-end as a general principle.
Kurdish alphabet soup.

Bottom line: Once again, President Trump has the right idea, and the media and his critics have no clue.
