You know who got “lynched” in the Old West?
Cattle rustlers, horse thieves, bank robbers, murderers. I’m guessing most of those were white. It basically refers to mob rule and being hung without a trial.
Kind of like this #FakeImpeachment.

Lynching statistics usually begin around 1882.(It favors the narrative).
From 1830 (and earlier) thru 1885, mostly whites rather than blacks got hanged.
No hangings after 1964. The decline after 1919 seems stunning and even more so after 1935.

I had stats that went back even farther than 1882 but lost them when I lost umpteen years of research data...
