I don’t know how far back you go but when I first heard the opening with the rain and all on the first Black Sabbath album I sat upright in my seat. I had never heard anything like it and I was hooked. And I have never done drugs or drank. That was 1970.
By the way I am Chris almost 79.

I must cede the argument to you.

I’m Chris, 48.

I have the same experience with Metallica’s music. It just reached me.

Of course, I confess that I have done drugs and drank, but not so much drink.

I had about the same experience as you. I first heard the first Black Sabbath album in the basement of my childhood friend's house around 1977. I remember being literally floored by it. I was barely 15 years old.

Discovered a lot of music that year in that basement including Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, etc. My friend had access to his older brother's record collection which was quite eclectic.'

No drugs though. We were into lifting weights in that basement. So this music brings back memories of doing bench presses and curls.
