Interestingly enough, in his youth, my dad waited tables at an upscale restaurant in an out of the way location. He said one night a guest at a table suddenly started singing. It turned out to be Frank Sinatra. Apparently the man was such a narcissist that he couldn't deal with not receiving attention so he had to make a scene in a restaurant in order to draw attention to himself.
