They had broken up in 2012, when third and long-time guitarist Martin Barre departed. (Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath was briefly the bands second guitarist, after Mick Abrahams left.) When Anderson resurrected the name in 2017, it was as Jethro Tull by Ian Anderson at first.
That bands lineup was
rotating for many years.
