Does the Ukraine president like having his conversations publicly exposed? Would this stop any future calls to anyone?
If he releases it, it will be obstruction of justice charges by Democrats.
Dan Bongino today in his podcast said in no uncertain terms DON’T DO IT MR. PRESIDENT!
If Trump releases the transcripts, then the Democrats will demand transcripts for every conversation he ever has with foreign leaders, forfeiting his Executive Branch rights.
If he releases this transcript, he will have a real hard time having candid conversations with other world leaders. If they are concerned that their remarks may appear in the media, they won’t talk the same way or be as candid.
Axing about Dem corruption is an impeachable offense.

If trump was going to smear Biden it makes sense he waits till he’s the official candidate.

It’s hard to imagine that Trump would regard that doddering stump (Biden) as a threat that warranted any concerted/risky effort.

This was Trump's plan all along. That, and to once again embarrass the media, who can never stop pursuing a Trump scandal, no matter how ridiculous.
Personally....I think the source of the leak about the Ukranian convos was.....DJT himself. I think he created the leak for express purpose of getting the Dems to talk about Biden/Ukraine.
I don’t think there’s an ironclad connection between these conversations and Trump trying to sabotage Biden, but if there is, so what? Now; if there was a quid pro quo in the form of foreign aid withheld/released, then that would a different story.

It’s hard to see Trump’s statements as a smear when Biden is on video bragging about his actions.
Or, more currently, Kerry's chats with the Iranians on anti-Trump strategy? Was the attack on the Saudi refineries a complete surprise to Lurch? One wonders.
