Meloxicam is great for my arthritis. However because several previous blood workups showed some decreased kidney function probably because of my HPB (although my last work up was normal in all respects) I’m not allowed by my doctor to take more than 1 - 2 per week. But I find that even if I only take one a week, the pain in my arthritic foot and in my knees is greatly reduced for the entire week between doses.

Good to know. I, too, use mine sparingly when I KNOW I’ll have to do something more strenuous. Otherwise, it’s Extra Strength Tylenol now and then. Mostly, though, I just live with it; I hate taking medicine!
