Human ignorance is of two kinds: willful and untutored. Science threads seem to be mostly the latter with lots of silly stuff. What seems to be mostly missing is imagination. Too many people go with the ‘settled science’ angle or the ‘don’t rock the boat’ perspectives. Of course, science is never settled, and never progresses until someone rocks the boat. I usually skip the silly Uranus and other pun jokes, looking for the ‘good’ stuff’. Else, when a post presents an opportunity, amid the silly clutter, I’ll throw something in for s...s and giggles. Too much serious stuff is not good for the soul.
