Couple Who Worked at Local Research Institute for 10 Years Charged with Stealing Trade Secrets, Wire Fraud

 

This DOJ report details two Chinese researchers who have been working at a children's hospital  for 10 years in San Diego. During that time they opened their own business in China and were implementing trade secrets they gleaned from their research in San Diego for profit in their company in China. (perhaps one of Feinstein's international business dealings?)  They were researching "endosomes" and the bottom of the report notes that their indictments were recently unsealed. What caught my eye most was that this was catgorized at the bottom of the page under the topics:

I dunno - the topics seem to indicate the applications of this research could be used to compromise national security. Checking briefly, endosomes are studied as they (paraphrasing heavily) are involved in transmission of disease and therefore are of interest when studying the development of new drugs. So - perhaps a biowarfare exploit coming from China?
