Well hey! If you disagree, why not do what you have failed to do up to this point and name some of these Serious names with Serious avatars whom we should be Seriously be listing to! You know, cause no one Serious like a General would be listening or anything.... Seriously!

Not even disagreeing. Just saying a Twitter account that purports to be serious journalism ought to have a more professional avatar than a pink pig with a magnifying glass and a goofy handle that somebody in third grade might consider following.

Trying to give some constructive criticism here.

Many great people to follow on Twitter. Tracy Beanz comes to mind. There are many, many others. The joy is in the discovery so open your mind and plunge on in.
