I’m too old and decrepit to tear it out and do it again, so I built this one to last.
It’s rimmed with 2x12 boards and joisted with 2x6. The floats nestle inside the rim boards. Built the corner brackets and pole guides from scratch. I need to drive a couple more mud poles, lay the carpet, and install the bump rail to be finished.
Mrs. Augie thought I was crazy when I started this project.
She still thinks I’m crazy but she loves having a nice swimming hole that doesn’t need chemicals and filter flushes every week.
Those brackets are beautiful. What did you use for floats? Up around here they like to use 55 gallon sealed drums.
