I hadn’t heard of The Epoch Times when it first crossed my radar in the past year or so.
I read some of their investigations and found them extremely in-depth, well researched and well sourced. Complex topics were also explained in a way far less arcane than other print publications.
I also noticed that The Epoch Times takes on topics and controversies without the typical slant. American readers are thirsty for such options. Since that time, I have contributed a few news articles to the publication.
Other readers have discovered The Epoch Times, as well. And its independence–the fact that it offers factually clean news coverage of various current events–has now made it a target.
Other news media– utterly lacking in self-awareness– have attacked The Epoch Times as if the publication is partisan or irresponsible. The attackers themselves exhibit an overtly partisan stance but do not seem to understand the irony. They see their own partisanship as acceptable. The norm. Or they believe it to be invisible.
The following is an article written by the publisher of The Epoch Times. It addresses continued alleged bias among media and social media for the sake of suppressing information that does not line up with certain agendas.

The media knows that they must destroy any media outlet that insists on telling the truth.
Wow, Facebook has a stranglehold over freedom of speech unprecedented in American history.
That's why they dislike Trump tweeting so much.
He tells the unvarnished truth to the American people.
The media can't stand it because they don't control the narrative. Trump is setting the agenda.

Sharyl Attkisson is one of the very few authentic and excellent investigative journalists in business today. She has suffered mightily for her courageous stand against the Obama administration.
The Epoch Times and The Gateway Pundit get routinely denounced on this forum by persons who apparently do not investigate or publish at all themselves.
I have far more respect for Attkisson and her opinion on journalism than for the random jibes of trolls here.
I haven’t seen any posts of FReepers denouncing the Epoch Times, and criticism of GP is legitimate. They lure readers in with supermarket tabloid headlines and then the actual article is just a rehash of what’s already been done.

I've seen you criticize Trump but I'm pretty sure you've never been president.
