I also know that for whatever reason, some women actually do lie about sexual assault.
If not, trials and judicial proceedings would be far, far easier.
I have known honest people all my life, but also ones who were notorious liars. Some liars lied for no apparent reason, except to make you have sympathy or regard for them, all the way up to just getting paid. It’s a gauntlet of truth and fiction.
Sure, something like this could happen but it also could be a lie.
I will never go along with the crowd that says the woman accuser is always right.
Let me ask you, did you believe Blasey-Ford? Did Kavanagh pull trains with his buddies on drunk college girls in the 80s?
If not, remember that the accusation was made. We were TOLD, by our politic opponents, that we HAD to believe the woman. I reserve the right to weigh the facts as they’re presented.
I concluded almost immediately that blasey ford was lying.
And i dont have to know what your specific personal experience is if you don’t have the training and experience in dealing with sexual assault. Some of us with many years of actual experience dealing with these types of crimes are not so quick to reject victims statements based solely on speculation and conjecture and bias. Evidence is important in proving or disproving what actually happened, not some knee jerk, off the cuff reaction.
