This time of year, the rays are in the shallow water, nothing new. Residents do the "sting ray shuffle" slide your feet instead of lifting them.

It worked for me for 20+ years. I've been stuck once.

Last year, or maybe the year before, the shallow waters in Ventura were just full of baby blues. I went down to the pier just to watch all the tourists freak out. lol
