You can keto on Type 1. I did for a while. Just reduce your insulin amount and constantly test. You need overnight insulin your first two nights as your liver burns up glycogenolysis. Then you simply take a much lower amount of insulin.
The only thing you need is to watch your carbs, estimate insulin amounts, and test, test, test.
