I just used your tongue-in-cheek remark as an excuse to write some more about Hong Kong, which I feel may become the fulcrum of geopolitics in the Trump presidency.
Confronting China will take many years. It is an existential challenge to the U.S., and part of Trump's greatness that he takes them head-on.
The Trade War is JUST BEGINNING. China will certainly start to withhold strategic goods such as pharmaceuticals, vaccines, rate earths and certain technologies we have lost the ability to manufacture here. In turn, we may have to cut off their supplies of oil and other raw materials.
In general, the international threats to America right now--China, mass migrations across our borders, Islam and globalism/neo-Marxism--are as great as any we have ever faced.
And of course, we are riddled with traitors here at home.
I think we all recognize we are living through a turning point in American and world history ... and one which could go either way.
