Nobody wants a repeat of Katrina, where you waited and then you can’t get out.
And didn’t use the federal money you had received, for years, to shore up the levy’s, stole as much of it as you and your friends could and then try to blame on the President and end up in prison...that, too.
Don't disagree with your overall premise but you sure didn't pick the right example.... at least if you were referring to New Orleans. The system of levees there were so bad they were already to break....
