The closely-guarded private life of a NASA astronaut burst into the spotlight in a New York Times report Friday (Aug. 23) on a messy divorce battle involving American astronaut Anne McClain that has apparently led to claims of identity theft against the space flyer.

For starters, they were never married. The hymen was never broken, there was never a CONSUMATION of the vows, and they should never be allowed in a logical, human reason based society to adopt kids. I hadn’t heard of the Lisa Nowak situation. I guess I wasn’t paying attention at the time. But I just looked it up and it’s as you described. It makes one wonder the wisdom of forcing the integration of men and women into the armed forces as well as space missions. The early space missions had all male crews, and the result was astronauts who were totally focused on their mission. Maybe having women in support roles is fine, but on highly critical missions, having women participants provides an unnecessary distraction that can cause harm to the mission.
Yes but then you thought this was all about mission. How 1940s of you!
