World leaders are making everything about themselves. Macron should have the maturity not to have childish fights with other leaders over personal matters. Trump doesn’t do that and even treats enemies as friends for the sake of better relations.

I believe it’s common culture for the French to publicly puff up their chests and spout off about perceived indignation to themselves, family and country.
Macron was just being French.
