their story is kind of sad. have you read that book? (nice, fascinating slide btw.) times were so different than they are now. my dad was born in 1928 and has kind of appalling stories of his own childhood. (sorry for the lack of punctuation, 4 more weeks in this dumb cast.. i can type a bit better, but capitalizing is difficult.)
