Mass shooting is foiled at a California Marriott after cops arrest the hotel cook, 37, who had stockpiled tactical rifles and high capacity magazines and ‘was planning to kill staff and guests’
Rodolfo Montoya, of Huntington Beach, California, was allegedly plotting to murder his Marriott co-workers
The 37-year-old hotel cook told a colleague about his deadly intentions who told his manager Imran Ahmed
Ahmed called the Long Beach Police Department who raided Montoya’s home and found the weapons haul
Thousands of rounds of ammunition, shotgun cartridges, tactical gear and high-powered rifles were seized
With the stockpile of weapons, he was capable of carrying out a mass shooting akin to the Las Vegas attack
Montoya was charged with manufacturing and distributing assault weapons, possession of an assault weapon and making a criminal threat. He is currently being held on $500,000 bail at the Long Beach City Jail

Today President Trump held the third press conference over thirty minutes in the past four days. Sunday a chopper presser on the tarmac in New Jersey (36 minutes). Tuesday a presser in the Oval Office (32 minutes). Today a South Lawn chopper presser (35 minutes). No questions filtered; direct responses from President Trump; all questions answered…. and the media can’t take it.
[That sweaty gaggle lasted nearly 40 minutes in almost 90 degrees DC heat. One reporter’s cellphone auto-shut down due to the hot temperature, midway through Trump’s remarks.]
I’m absolutely not snarking at Jenn Jacobs, she’s actually one of the few that keeps her reporting generally between the lines… But the overall tone of press pool response to this level of POTUS availability is hilarious. ‘Halp, he’s melting us‘.
