One of the annoying things correlating with an ever-faster Internet is an increase in the number of websites that deem it okay to autoplay videos (often with sound!) as soon as you land on their homepage. Sometimes the videos quietly tick away in the corner of the screen, other times theyre obnoxiously in your face, but the point is you should be able to control whether you see them or not. Both Chrome and Firefox are pretty liberal with their autoplay policies by default, so you may need to do a little tweaking to disable them.
Well show you how in the following guide.

If you are annoyed like me with all these auto play videos every time you visit a website. If someone has a better way please post it.

I think executing a few of the people responsible for the websites autoplay would be faster, easier, and far more effective.

Not only annoying, but I had to chase this down right away because I use my phone for my internet modem. These videos burn up my valuable high speed data allotment whether I want to watch them or not.

You may have to redo the change to stop autoplay in Firefox after the next time it updates to a new version. I have changed my setting several times now.

After entering the link given, autoplay doesn’t show up anywhere on the list of settings.
