Umm, being hugely fat will have a negative effect on your heart health. Eating >20g carbs a day and no starches or sugar will dump the weight off of you and get you down so your joints and heart are better off.

You could have easily lost 30 pounds...

I’ve cut a lot, especially bread and lost maybe 10 pounds in the past few weeks.

Slow go but still going.

I’ve been on Keto for about a month now and am down a good 3 kg, have much more energy, and work better. I have a long ways to go — 125.4 kg to my target weight of 100 kg and have no intention of stopping now.

As for the gut bacteria, one small portion a week (I use egged chicken breasts dipped in potato starch and fried) of grains is all you need to keep the gut healthy without breaking ketosis — as long as you don’t consume any other carbs that day.
