What oppressive conditions?
I had a friend that had married a serviceman she met in WWII. She was German, and her entire family was in East Germany. She would talk often about not even being able to exchange letters or pictures. She cried tears of joy when the wall came down.
This bi*** is complaining about oppression. Because she won’t be allowed to protest Israel while visiting her grandmother. My friend would have done anything to see her family.
Good morning, dear Deplorable FRiends.
I just posted this update on the prayer thread for my Aunt Peggy.
Ive missed all of you very much and cant wait to be back here on the TFT.
In the meantime, life calls.
***hugs*** to all of you! (exit, when I get back youll have some serious competition for the bacon!)
Update:
Aunt Peggys heart attack was very bad.
A stent was put into one of her arteries the when she arrived at the hospital the evening of her heart attack.
The family was told that the attack was a bad one and that her chances of survival were 50-50.
Shes very strong and she survived. Thank you all very, very much for your prayers.
Now for the extended sobering facts.
Because of the severe damage to her Aunt Peggys heart, her case has been referred to a heart transplant team at a different hospital.
Shes 78 so a transplant isnt an option but a heart pump is.
Her new doctor told her and us that with a heart pump she could have ten or twelve more years. Without a heart pump she has six months, max, so she has begun the process of testing to see if she qualifies for heart pump surgery.
Once again shes facing 50-50 odds because thats what her new doctor says that her chances are of qualifying for heart pump surgery.
Thank you all for your prayers. Your prayers and support mean so much more than you know.
Id like to ask your continued prayers for Aunt Peggy.
Sorry its taken so long to update. I got home on Monday and have been unpacking, doing laundry, resting, and repacking for my inevitable trip back to Texas which could happen at any time if theres a problem.
Hopefully Ill be going back in a couple of weeks to be with Aunt Peggy for heart pump surgery.
I appreciate your prayers and support so much and eventually will be thanking each of you dear FRiends individually. You are wonderful people and I wish I could thank you in person. :-)
Even more, I wish yall could meet my Aunt Peggy. Shes a real sweetheart and youd love her very much. Shes that person who has the big wrap-around porch with (no kidding!) at least thirty fold-up chairs stacked along the porchs back wall because so many people stop by so often.
Aunt Peggy is beloved by many and now she has her first great granddaughter - four months old - who she adores and who looks just like her.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, and Im praying for all of you!
