I remember mom had SO many spider plants, in our breakfast/sun room, along with MANY other plants.
I always thought it was so cool how she could pinch off one of the hanging ‘spiders’, put it in a glass of water to take root, and then share the new plant/s with others.
I have mine trained to a once/week watering schedule. :-)
You helped me with my plant food choice/method, when I only had the Ficus tree (that I almost killed!). It’s come back, beautifully, now. It likes getting fed. :-)
I have all plants in one room and it’s pretty easy with the once/week watering/feeding schedule. If we’re away longer than that, I’ll have to get a sitter :-)
Today is my plant watering/feeding day for indoor plants.
I have such a method of how I do it, but won’t require the house sitter to do it that way.
Just as long as she doesn’t over water and ruin the floor, not make me very happy.
Outside hanging plants I water every day, others every couple of days just cuz it is warmer outside.
Have Aloe Vera and the 2 Mother in Law Tongues that I only water every 2 weeks.
Does take time but I love them so much and they make me HAPPY!!
Have had Spider plants and Wandering Jews in the past, ferns don’t do that well here unless you want to constantly spray.
Most of my plants are in the kitchen in the dining nook because of the wrap around windows.
Have one HUMONGOUS Peace Lilly plant that I have had for 20 years, have re-potted so many times as it keeps growing, I move it to the front porch in the summer and to kitchen in the winter.
It’s like my baby, even went with us when we evacuated for fire many years ago.
Sorry, didn’t mean to write an epistle.
