In case you don’t remember, Kate Steinle’s killer had an immigration hold in San Bernardino -SoCal, Inland Empire. San Francisco knew he was to be deported & asked that he be sent to SF on an old pot charge. They did this for the sole reason of dismissing the pot charge & releasing him so as not to be deported.
Seems like this outcome was predetermined, for the appeal.
As I recall, this was not the first time he had been in “possession” of a gun.
No American would have received the legal defense this cretin did. And for free.
I am surprised the court did not rule that Steinle’s family should pay him damages /s.
