I’ve baked cookies for decades at Christmas for a man who was hurt in a car accident as a child. I promised his mother as she was dying that I’d make sure he got cookies for Christmas. He passed Tuesday of a brain tumor that had grown all these years. Called his uncle who is my age and has seen to his care since his sister died. We taught together and have been friends for years . Realized we’re both such care givers First thing we said almost simultaneously was “who are you caring for now?” Think we are both at the age to care for ourselves.
Caring for others is just something one does, don’t think you can stop now HM.
But you might let someone help you occasionally.
They may need the blessings.
If I was the uncle, I would have asked you to make cookies for me since my nephew is no longer here. ;)
