The Epstein Fallout Hits MIT Media Lab. #EpsteinBlackBook#Transhumanism #Eugenics https://t.co/ubpFpQkrWR— 𝙳𝚛. 𝚀𝚞𝚒𝚐𝚕𝚎𝚢 (@CarrollQuigley1) August 21, 2019

David Beard

A leading member of the MIT Media Lab is quitting after disclosures his boss took money from child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. “I’m ashamed of my institution today,” said EthanZ

Note: MIT Media Lab chief Joi Ito, also a @nytimes and @knightfdn board member, has not said how much money he took from Epstein, both for MIT and his own tech investments. He did say he visited Epstein's homes.

“I’m working with my students and staff to move my work out of the Media Lab. That might involve moving to another part of MIT. It might mean moving elsewhere.” -@EthanZ, who quit the Lab in disgust after Jeffrey Epstein funding relevations.,p>

Found this old quote from the director of MIT’s Media Lab, embattled after accepting money from Jeffrey Epstein — and not fessing up to it for years. “Money creates a power relationship between the payer and the payee.”

Why @ethanz quit: “Joi told me...that the Media Lab’s ties to Epstein went much deeper, & included a business relationship between Joi & Epstein, investments in companies Joi’s VC fund was supporting, gifts & visits by Epstein to the Media Lab & by Joi to Epstein’s properties.”

Part of the article....She’s right. There are people who are going to remain working at the Media Lab because they sincerely believe that we finally have the opportunity to fix some of the deep structural problems of the place — I respect them and I will work hard to support them. But there’s also people who are going to continue at the lab because it’s the best opportunity they have to develop their own careers and reach a point where they’ve got more flexibility to make decisions like the one I made. I respect them too — they are the people doing the work that makes institutions work, but they rarely have the power to make decisions that steer an institution towards its values.

I’m getting ready to leave to pick up my friend that I take to the foot doctor.

And I’m worried.....

Texted her at 8am, nothing, texted her at 10:30am, nothing, just tried to call her land line, went to answering machine.

Not sure what I;m going to find.....

Might take my hubby with me.
