I’m of Italian blood too and being called Fredo’s is NOT the N’ word lol.
I’ve heard much worse (and they are all hilarious) and my grandparents are from Palermo and i visit our ancestral home almost every year.

It is a normally non-pejorative diminutive usage of the names... Alfredo or Federico, if i’m not mistaken.
