I am simply amazed at the number of cynical Freeper comments about promised criminal prosecutions by Attorney Barr and others.

For any article that touches that subject I would guess 90% of the comments are, in one way or another, predicting with certainty that there will never prosecutions or jail time for anyone.

While I understand the cynicism, we have waited a long time and haven’t seen much action if any.

What I don’t understand is why the cynics bother to read the posts in the first place. If you believe there is no hope why read articles that talk to progress toward the goal of indictments?

My advice: Don’t read them. The negative one line comments comments spoil the thread for a lot Freepers. I and others read Free Republic looking for news and analysis. Reading 500 times a day that beer is going to free and the fix is in is a big waste of time.

But not fo me anymore. There is plenty to read and comment on here at Good Old FR instead of wasting your time on this nonsense.

I check to see how ridiculous and far-fetched the author's point-of-view may be. Also, I enjoy FreepeRs comments. Some of these FR folks are quite amusing!

The political climate changes every day and often even more than that and people will read and comment on every little change in it, others will wait and see how things play out checking in for the recent discoveries/evidences.

Frankly everyone has their own appetite on how much they want to absorb on a topic and in the news cycles....and what they chose or not to believe. As for prosecutions....well that's up to people who do the work of discovery and what they want to do. We're frankly out of that loop. High profile people will always dodge for far longer than the man on the street because they can afford to do so. So it will always take longer, much longer, to nail them. The authorities know these people pay big buck lawyers to use every means for their 'escape' from justice and they do. 'Accepting the fact' elites fight the courts etc. on a different plane than the average guy shouldn't be surprising since they do everything on a larger scale to begin with. It is how it is.

Thank you, well said. One begins to suspect that some of these naysayers are paid shills.
