I loved Alabama’s even before I knew what it was.

Back in the 50s and 60s at our high school games the loud speaker would play various fight songs before the game began.

My favorite was “Yeah Alabama” before I even knew it was that.

I do agree that the million dollar band has managed to mess it up.

Actually, I do like the song, but the band has been playing it with such a fast, jaunty beat in recent years that it sounds almost like a polka.
