Never felt so busy trying to process incoming information.

Did sleepy understand the parlance here or just another gaffe?
I guess one who prides themselves on being able to walk across the aisle and work with acknowledged racists might have picked up on the use of “bright” or should have known how many might take offense to its use.
Is it possible that there is some objectification, scorn and insult being heaped on some who might be of mixed race?
