I think 45 told them what they wanted to hear and neutralized the outrage machine ... then went away on vacation without calling Congress back. By the time Congress comes back and this gets looked at again, the emotions will be tamped down and the whole issue will be “old news.” They’ll do mental health background checks and that will be it. Same kinda way it went with “bump stocks” it was many months later before the issue came up for votes.
DS will have to massacre more innocent Americans if they want to get this back on the front burner again.
