Why would it be necessary to suspend the Constitution?

There is no Constitutional right to lie, liable, slander or slur.

Meet lies with full force truth. Don’t duck and flinch because pathological lairs churn up bullcrap accusations.

Stand your ground.

The boundaries to free expression are found other than in the constitution.

Statutory law prohibits certain disclosures for government supremacy reasons (state secret, espionage, certain military info), others for inciting riot.

Civil law sets the boundaries for defamation, which requires damaging reputation using falsehood. Even there, certain people are immunized. Congresspeople can defame from the floor, there is no remedy for that.

Otherwise, it is perfectly legal and constitutional to lie. The government and press do it regularly, with purpose. Trust no one. Seek the evidence, if the issue is important to you.

Totally agree with your conclusion. Call 'em out. Or at least point them out. The press is pretty much disgraced at this point. A majority of the public has figured out that the press lies more than it tells the truth. Same with Congress. Same with FBI, and so on down the line. A bunch of self-serving institutions and people, with agendas.
